As it turned out, there are a ton of apps - if you're an iPhone user; Android moms have to dig deeper. Baby Monitor & Alarm
One of our favorite apps of 2011 continues to impress us this year – after all, what’s not to love about an app that allows you to turn your phone into an effective baby monitor? The Baby Monitor & Alarm will automatically call you on any pre-selected number when there’s a noise in your baby’s room. As a bonus, you can set the app to first try soothing your baby with your pre-recorded voice or with baby’s favorite song from your music library – which you can also choose to play automatically when you first put your baby down. You can even log your baby’s overnight activity to keep track of whether baby’s sleeping through the night.

“Health Album” by pingMD is a great new health solution for parents. You can record your childs growth, development, vaccinations and other medical information. The App is really easy to use so you have quick access to your childs health details. There is a membership requirement for connecting with your Doctor and your Doctor needs to be a part of the service, but the secure information portal alone is great.
