Marble Jar

You’re never too old for instant gratification: Marble Jar may be designed for kids, but that doesn’t mean it’s not also a great motivator for moms (and everyone else). Set up all sorts of virtual “jars” for different things, set a goal for each, and drop in a marble every time you get one step closer to reaching it. For the child who won’t brush his teeth, try adding a marble to his “toothbrushing” jar every time he scrubs his pearly whites without nagging from you. 25 “marbles,” and there’ll be brand-new Play-Doh with his name on it. Trying to exercise every day? Drop a marble into the jar each time you leave the gym, and treat yourself after 50 marbles (or 7 : ). It’s almost embarrassing what a few fake marbles in a digital jar can do!
