Amanda Moore, freelance writer and founder of the interior design company Re:Place (and its new nursery design service First:Place), is a part-time single mother raising her son in the famously bohemian East Village, where she's lived for twelve years. The home is a testing ground for her design ideas, although Moore qualifies: "My clients' homes get far more attention than my own!"
