author bio A.M. Homes is the author of numerous novels and short stories, including The Safety of Objects, The End Of Alice, Music For Torching and This Book Will Save Your Life (Viking, 2006). Her memoir The Mistress's Daughter will be published by Viking in April 2007.

author bio Jordana Horn is a lawyer, writer, mother and person, not necessarily in that order. She has written for The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Los Angeles Times, The Forward and Forbes, among other publications. She is alternatively either hard at work on her first novel or not working as hard on it as she should be.

Lauren Hoffman lives, works and chases babies on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. She received her MFA in creative non-fiction writing from The New School this spring.

Leigh-Ann lives in Los Angeles, where she is currently multi-tasking her way into an ulcer (but doing so blissfully...so, no worries).

author bio Cord Jefferson, originally from Tucson, Arizona, has been a moonshiner in Saudi Arabia, a soccer star in Tijuana and left for dead in Italy. He is a regular contributor to Filter and his work has appeared in Atomica and The Onion A.V. Club, among other places. He is slowly amassing a book (keyword: slowly). He graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2004 and now lives, and believes, in Brooklyn.

author bio Marina Jiménez has been a journalist for sixteen years. She has a master’s degree from the University of London and has worked for CBC Television, The Vancouver Sun, The Edmonton Journal, the National Post and The Globe and Mail. She has won numerous awards, including a 2003 National Newspaper Award and two 2001 National Magazine Gold Awards. She lives in Toronto with her husband, the journalist John Geiger, and their son, Alvaro.

author bio Lauren Johnson is in the Master of Fine Arts in Fiction program at the University of California, Irvine. She is a third generation Californian and currently lives on an island in Newport Harbor, where she does a lot of people-watching.
