Pati’s Mexican Table

Who: Pati Jinich, a mother of three based in Washington, DC
Why we love this blog: Hailing from a family of “food maniacs,” this blogger left work as a political analyst in 2007 when the director of the Mexican Cultural Institute encouraged her to start a culinary program focused on Mexican food. The result was Mexican Table, a series of workshops; cooking demos; and later, a blog, TV show, and cookbook aimed at promoting Mexican flavors, history, and culture. What makes Pati’s Mexican Table shine is that its author is undeniably likeable. Recipes here, like a Mexican casserole, make for a nice departure from typical dishes.
