Mommie Cooks

Who: Julie Mastbrook, a mother of three sons living in Charlotte, North Carolina
Why we love this blog: This is a true from-the-mom-trenches blog — and thank goodness for it. Mommie Cooks challenges parents to prep something besides hot dogs and
’n‘ cheese for dinner and to encourage their kids to expand their palates. Faves on this site include Julie’s bacon bleu cheese quiche, prosciutto and mushroom ravioli in butter sauce, and weeknight chicken and broccoli for speedy dinners. Julie is also quick to share what works and what doesn’t in her own home as well as periodic posts on how her children are growing up.
