Why we love this blog: Perillo cut her culinary teeth working for bigwig chefs, like Tom Colicchio and Alain Ducasse. Today she brings their attention to detail and emphasis on seasonal, local ingredients to her own table. The current consulting food editor for Working Mother Magazine, Perillo knows her stuff about cooking, writing, and presentation of both, giving her blog the perfect combo of professionalism and intimacy. In the past year, with the sudden passing of her husband, Perillo’s blog has become especially personal and brave, giving us even more reason to salute her.
