Excuse me, but even the most helpful and well-meaning father does not share 50% of the parenting load. Let's not set people up for divorce - I have a very well-meaning spouse but if you are breastfeeding an infant, it severely impedes dad's interaction time. Frankly, the first 6 months to a year of said baby's life usually involves 80 - 90% of mom work. 50%!?! What planet are you from?

There's no reason to pump and dump. Milk is produced on demand. You just need to wait until you're sober. Who the hell pours breastmilk down the drain? That stuff is freedom in a bottle.

wow, lisaloo, where is all the vitriol coming from. i can say with ease that my husband easily does 70/30 more care of the baby than I do. Husbands like that really DO exist. I know, I married one. And he's mine all mine. ;)
