feedback for "Parental Advisory: Post-Production?"

Excellent article! I too hit a wall around month 6. The pediatrican berated me for not feeding my baby enough, due to his lower percentiles of weight and size. Out of the other side of her mouth came the "stop the night feedings!" lecture. I almost wonder if she didn't realize I was a 36 year old breastfeeding, working mom, who could only keep up the supply by doing so!
So asked them to send in their lactation specialist. Thanks to her advice, I was able to get the milk flowing again. She said "of course continue the night feedings!" I laughed as she went on to say "all my kids are grown, I fed them through the night as babies, and now at 40+, they sleep fine!" After that, I also made more effort to pump at work. At first I was shy, as many of my co-workers are younger single women, and didn't want to freak them out. But without fail, there was always another gal in the ladies room doing the same!

I want to be sure to let interested people know about the Easy Expressions nursing bra that I was lucky enough to stumble upon in a magazine 4 years ago. Much easier to find online now, and at nursing / baby shops, but I rarely find anyone who is familiar with it... It's about $25 and a silly looking cotton band with a zipper up the front and 2 holes for the pump's suction cups to fit through in the front. As a working mom it allowed me to keep pumping and keep up with email in my private office, whereas without it I might have had to stop pumping / nursing sooner due to demands at work. It was also handy at home to keep my hands free to read a magazine, etc. while double pumping. The best $25 I ever spent. Only downside was the email / work while pumping didn't provide for relaxation, but I would have been much more stressed out watching the clock and not being otherwise productive while pumping.
