feedback for "Parental Advisory 27"

  1.   I was born and raised in Park Slope Brooklyn.  Has the neighborhood really gotten that ridiculously snooty???  As a child I spent many hours in bars such as Snookys, Carriage House, Moonies Pub, and Ryan's keeping my self entertained by the various video table games, getting taught to shoot pool and darts, doing my homework or playing with anyone of the numerous other kids in the place.  No big deal no one complained it was the "village" that helped to raise me.  As I got older they were the places I would walk by and wave to the bartenders that remembered when I was born.  They became places I could walk into if I got scared walking home from school and I could find some one to walk me the rest of the way home.  When my mother got home from work she would have already heard that Paddy walked me home, we had discussed my math and English homework and how he told me to start diner for my mother.  She knew all this because he made a point of telling her when he saw her coming out of the train station Then again Park Slope was a neighborhood full of affordable rent controlled housing, happy lower middle class blue collar people who didn’t give a shit about the type of car his neighbor drove or what kind of stroller the other neighbor was pushing.  No so true anymore.
