feedback for "5-Minute Time Out: Word Girl"

  1. We're a WordGirl family too! My 5 yo boy/girl twins both love to watch it, as do I and dh. When learning to tie their shoes, my dd grumbled, "This is exasperating!" and my ds responded, "I know! I'm so frustrated." It doesn't get much better than that. Keep up the good work!

  2. I meant to switch that to "...as do dh and I." I just reread it, and it irked me!

  3. Ha ha, my 5-year-old son loves this show too! He even likes the interstitial portions like "That's my favorite word" and the vocabulary game show starring Beau (Bo?) Handsome. He also uses "exasperated" all the time. Funny how that one seems to stick to this age group. :P "Word Girl" is definitely a family viewing experience in our household. Kudos for such a great program on public television!!!

  4. Oh yeah, Word Girl rocks. My daughter loves it, and I think it's pretty funny with lots of tributes to old-style TV fun.

  6. We're fans too! And it's got a very singable and not at all cloying theme song (unlike, say Clifford).
Love the vocab too, but my favorite is hearing my daughter talk matter-of-factly about Chucktheevilsandwichmakingguy. Never just Chuck. Always the full name.
    Great interview and great show!
