OK, just to update... I got in to see my OB/GYN (finally!), and we decided to go for the section. Honestly, my biggest fears are going through a long labour and then having a section anyway, or having a migraine during labour... this will avoid both of those. We're scheduled for Valentine's day...

Has anyone out there had experience with deciding how a second kid's gonna come out after having a c-section the first time? I had a pretty good experience with the first section; am I missing out on something if I don't try for vaginal this time?

I think I may have a stance a bit less supportive than most responders..... If a c-section is medically necessary, then yeah, go for it - but purely elective? I'm not sure why this would be an option, and having had a c-section because my babe was over 10 lbs and too large to get out on her own, I do...

I actually think that the issue of "elective" cesarean is a ploy that doctors have come up with to distract attention from the real reasons that cesareans are on the rise - i.e. too much medical intervention in normal, low-risk labors. The only (literally the ONLY) study that ever looked at women's choices...
