I just love these Wonderboard kits from Dowling Magnets as a creative and (almost more importantly) quiet travel toy. And they're all made in the USA! This Make-a-Monster version ($9.60 at Amazon ) is particularly charming, because making goofy monsters in the backseat is even more fun than whining...
