If you're planning on taking your family out by plane for the Labor Day weekend holiday, you might be interested in this : Out of 20,000 travelers surveyed by AirfareWatchdog.com , 85 percent said they would support the creation of a section just for babies and small children on planes. And fully...

  • Hugh Jackman Throws Children

Hugh Jackman throws children, but for the record, the kids seem to love it. Seriously, that's high, right? What's the record? This is Hugh spending some quality (and dashingly attired) time with his lovely children Ava and Oscar. I'm guessing even Wolverine can't throw Oscar that high...

  • Ruby Rebels Against Spider Powers

Yes, I will beat this Spiderman stuff like the dead horse it rode in on. At some point Tobey Maguire will film another Spidey picture and I'll look like some sort of genius way ahead of his time. Or something like that. In the meantime Ruby doesn't care for web-slinging. She's all about the...

  • Melanie Griffith Does Cool Mom Stuff

Melanie Griffith took her kids and a friend to Coachella in the California desert. If you've never been to Coachella, it's a huge weekend music festival that includes tons of artists. This year the line-up went from Prince, Roger Waters, and Jack Johnson to the Swell Season and some kid on the...

  • Kiss It, Southwest. We’re Flying on Delta

We won’t be making our annual coast-to-coast flight with Southwest this year. We compared all the prices and with so little difference among many of the airlines, we decided to treat ourselves to the luxury of reserved seats on Delta. Who cares about pre-boarding with kids, when Aisle 22, seats A through...

  • Babble Talk: Toddler Turbulence

This week Hana Schank took on a Breeder vs. Non hot topic. When childless people see a baby coming down the aisle, there is zero effort made to hide their fear/disappointment/rage about being seated next to that child. Parents, meanwhile, are struggling to pack the perfect diaper bag, ideally one that...

  • Re: Travel to Europe with a 3 month old?

We took our 8 month old daughter to Italy for two weeks about a year ago for a wedding. The flight was fine - she slept most of the time. We also hung out a lot in the back with the stewardesses. Delta, surprisingly, was very child friendly. We did have a seat for her with her car seat and that helped...

  • Drunken Mommy Chronicles: The Airplane Edition

I guess there's new meaning now to the phrase "The Mile-High Club." Except this club should actually be called the "Mommy Gets Drunk and Beats Her Kids on an Airplane" club. Bet there's not a whole lot of members of that club. The charter member of this dubious new club is...

  • Four kids - huge age gap - any ideas?

I have four children ages 21 months, 6 years, 8 years and 17 years. We'd like a reasonably priced vacation (relaxing type) and hopefully fun for the whole group. I have am not against pawning the two middle children off on a day camp if it means they are having a good time. Any ideas?
