Jennifer Hudson is Pregnant and Showered

Jennifer Hudson is finally confirming that she is pregnant! And what an appropriate way to announce the big news - she released details about her baby shower. The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the mom-to-be was showered over the weekend at a small gathering held in a relatives home in downtown Chicago. Hudson is engaged to Harvard-educated-lawyer-turned-wrestler David Otunga.

"It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family," said Felicia Fields, a longtime friend of the actress. "They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet. It was a nice time that we had."

When asked about the gender of the baby, Fields replied, "They don't know."

Hudson certainly deserves some good news in her life; seven months ago her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were murdered.

The actress, 27, has declined to divulge any details about her upcoming wedding to Otunga, but she did tell USA Today that it will be "traditional, and very, very classy. I'll be surrounded by family and friends. I hope that when I'm 80 years old, people will still be talking about my wedding."

In an interview with Access Hollywood earlier this year, the actress also said she plans to include her three dogs - Oscar, Grammy and Dreamgirl -- in the ceremony. "Oscar might be the ring bearer. We'll send them down the aisle with a little tux."

Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery Get Game

Ellen Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery were enjoying watching the L.A. Lakers trounce the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday at the Staples Center. I'm sure they're just as happy at the fact that Pompeo is pregnant with the couple's first child. And even happier that the baby wasn't due during the playoffs.

They both look like they are watching one of Kobe's three-pointers sail over the heads of the Nuggets, right into the basket. Either that or Jack Nicholson was caught dancing on the JumboTron again.

Here's another shot of Pompeo and her growing baby bump. Wonder if she's trying to score tickets for tonight's game?

Oh, and GO LAKERS.

It's Going To Be a Girl For Lakisha Jones

Former American Idol contestant Lakisha Jones announced last month that she was pregnant, and now she's revealing that she and husband Larry Davis are expecting a daughter who they will name Ava. Jones also has a daughter Brionne, 6, from a previous relationship.

But Jones is less willing to divulge who's her favorite Idol contestant this season. ""I don't have [a favorite]," she said in an interview with PopEater. "They are all really good. One thing I do like about Adam is that he's unique. He can go from being a rocker with painted nail polish to clean cut, modern day Elvis Presley."

And who does she think will win? "It may have a twist ... no one really knows how many people voted for each contestant ... you never know what the outcome is ... it could be Kris Allen."

I'm Following You, Nicole Richie

Pregnant Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and daughter Harlow prepare to catch a flight at LAX. I don't know where they were headed, but I do know that Nicole just trimmed Harlow's toenails. No, I wasn't hiding in the bushes outside her house - I saw it on her Twitter stream.

I also don't remember her Tweeting about Joel going blonde, but from the look on Harlow's face she's not too excited about dad's new haircolor. If Harlow were Twittering (and she probably is) her Tweet would probably say, "Some blonde dude is carrying me through the airport. Where's my daddy?"

Well, I would love to write more about them, but I need to check out Twitter and see what Nicole's having for lunch.

Lisa Scott-Lee Expecting Baby No. 2

UK popster Lisa Scott-Lee doesn't waste any time. The former Steps member just gave birth to her first baby, Jaden, last February and now she and husband Johnny Shentall are expecting their second baby in October. Don't worry you two, you'll get a full night's sleep - sometime in 2015.

Is it just me or does Lisa look just like Tila Tequlia?

Ellen Pompeo, Chris Ivery and the Baby Bump

Grey's Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery were snapped hanging out in Beverly Hills over the weekend, but really what everyone is fixated on is Ellen's growing baby bump. The couple announced last week that they were expecting their first child. In fact I think Ellen is seen here texting the news into FameCrawler.

I don't watch Grey's, but I hear Ellen's character Meredith is getting ready to marry Patrick Dempsey's character Derek on the show, and they've even set up this fake website about the upcoming nuptials. Hope there's some burp cloths and a diaper bag on that gift registry.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z Go Shopping and Get Our Hopes Up

Poor celebrities. One minute they're minding their own business, picking up a few thousand dollars worth of toys and the next thing you know people are naming the baby and knitting them blankets. At least that's what happened to Beyoncé and Jay-Z when they took their nephew shopping to FAO Schwartz on Saturday.

According to OK! magazine, when the couple were spotted in the Baby and Pre-School section of the store, "gossiping shoppers might have suspected a little Jay Jr. might be on the way." Either that, or the outing with Beyonce's sister Solange's four-year-old son was seen as a "practice run" for the power couple's baby that we're all waiting for.

Not that we're pressuring you or anything, Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

But think of the tabloid possibilities when you guys do decide to get pregnant.

Not to mention how cute that little munchkin is going to be.

Don't keep us hanging.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is Pregnant

Buffy's pregnant! Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played the famous vampire slayer, is expecting her first child with husband Freddie Prinze, Jr. The couple have been married for six years.

"They're very excited," says a source close to the couple, adding that the actress, 31, is due in the fall.

Gellar is set to shoot the HBO pilot The Wonderful Maladays, which she is also executive producing, and Prinze recently finished shooting a comedy pilot for ABC, No Heroics.

American Idol's Lakisha Jones is Pregnant

American Idol finalist Lakisha Jones and husband Larry Davis are expecting their first child together. The season 6 competitor (she finished fourth) also has a daughter, 6-year-old Brionne, who encouraged her to try out for AI. You know, I don't get it - my kids are always trying to get me not to sing.

Jones has a busy few months ahead of her - her debut album, “So Glad I’m Me,” hits the stores in May and the baby is expected in August.

But you won't hear her complaining. “Family is important to both of us, and so we’re really looking forward to our new baby’s arrival,” she says. “What can I say? With the baby coming and the release of my first album - when I think about all the goodness in my life right now, everyday I think ‘I’m so glad I’m me!” Hey, that would make a great name for an album.

Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel Have a Baby on the Way

Taye Diggs and his wife Idina Menzel are expecting their first child later this year. I know most people know Diggs from Private Practice, but I still think of him as the stud from How Stella Got Her Groove Back, where he spent most of his time frolicking in the Jamaican sun with his shirt off. Let's just say there were more than a few women in that theater who were fantasizing about having his baby.

Diggs met the Tony Award-winning Menzel while both were starring in the original Broadway production of Rent in 1996 and have been together ever since.
