Kate Beckinsale Goes Takes Her Family Out and Looks Great Doing It

Kate Beckinsale stepped out to the Joel Silver Memorial Day party in Malibu yesterday and took husband Len Wiseman and her 10-year-old daughter Lily with her. Kate looked beautiful - obviously this wasn't a t-shirt and cutoffs kind of party. Bet they didn't have any cheap beer or bad coleslaw, either.

Here's another shot of the stunning family; looks like Len took a more casual approach. I'm guessing he was the only one in their crew to take part in the water balloon fight.

Lotta Double Consonants: Jennifer Connelly, Paul Betteny, Son Stellan

Actress Jennifer Connelly and husband Paul Bettany took a walk in NYC with son Stellan and their family dog. Man, that's a helluva lotta double consonants. I'll bet the pooch's name is Spott.

Connelly and Bettany started dating while they were filming A Beautiful Mind, which was about a brilliant mathematician who spends hours looking at patterns in words printed in magazines in an attempt to uncover a Soviet plot.

I'm just sayin'.

Salma Hayek and Family Stroll, Look Awesome

Salma Hayek and her husband, gazzillionaire Henry François Pinault, went for a walk with daughter Valentina in Beverly Hills. My God what a beautiful trio. What is it with celebrities and their awesome families? Oh riiiight - they're celebrities.

Valentina looks adorable in her frilly dress and teeny shoes, and Salma looks pretty cute, too. The actress recently revealed that her husband moonlights as her stylist - he picked out her ensemble for the Golden Globes. I wonder if he puts together Valentina's outfits, too. I'll bet those little Mary Janes she's got on are Manolos.

Jennifer Garner Takes Baby Seraphina to Work

Jennifer Garner took baby Seraphina Rose onto the set of her film Invention of Lying on Tuesday. "Violet was at school and Jennifer hung out with the baby in her trailer," a source reports. The film also stars three of my favorite actors: Ricky Gervais, Jason Bateman and Tina Fey. Wonder if Jen put any of them to work doing diaper duty.

I'm sure when you saw this headline you thought you were finally going to see a picture of Jennifer and Ben Affleck's infant daughter Seraphina Rose. Well look what I found:

Okay, so you can't see her face. But what a magnificent baby carrier! And can you see the resemblance - I think that handle is the same color as her father's hair.

Kate Hudson Is a Private Dancer

What's your bathroom luxury? Towel warmer, exotic soaps, back issues of Oprah magazine? Mine is a lock so the kids don't barge in asking for gum. But leave it to the celebs to one-up everyone; Kate Hudson's got a stripper pole in her loo.

“She’s so proud of it,” a source says. “She was laughing and giddy like a kid when the thing was installed! She holds on with both her arms and flips her legs into the air. It’s kind of amazing and totally sexy.”

But gyrating around a metal pole doesn't come without risks. Hudson suffered two pole dancing-related injuries in 2006 — a pulled muscle in her leg and a friction burn on her arm — while dancing for then-husband Chris Robinson.

I'd be a little concerned with how to explain a stripper pole in the bathroom to the kids. But I guess Hudson's son Ryder is still young - he probably thinks it's a firepole.

Guess which celebrity kid said, "My mommy works at night." And her office? "He'll point out motor homes along the road and say, 'That's where my mommy works.'"

"The implication, well..." Liv Tyler trails off with a laugh. At least she wasn't spooked again!

Does motherhood dictate what kinds of projects she chooses? No: "Whenever I hear actors say that, I think, Wow, they must really be in demand! I'm still trying to figure it all out. [Modeling and acting] are what I've done since I was 14, so it's not like I have another option. But the balance can be hard for me, because for my whole life, my dream was to be a mother."

In her latest film role, actress and mother Liv Tyler was quite impressed with a few things while making this movie.

First, she was thrilled with audiences reactions to a scene where the 'strangers' break into the house.

"Everybody knows that feeling of hearing a sound, even in an apartment, and you think, 'What is that?' and you often go to look," she says. "Well, what if you went to look and there really was somebody standing in the room?

"Everybody says that moment just freaks them out so much," says Tyler. "And that makes me feel great. I really like that."

Secondly, Tyler made friends on set that helped her get through her break-up with husband of five years, British rocker Royston Langdon.

The actress hung out with the cast and the film's writer-director, Bryan Bertino, in "this amazing little town in the middle of nowhere in South Carolina [where] Bryan found this amazing little bar that was just a tiny little hole in the wall called Therapy Now.

"You had to be a member and there were about five people there, and we would go every Friday night and play pool and drink shots and do karaoke," says Tyler.

"I hadn't had fun like that in a long time, and I kind of needed that."

And yes, Tyler ended up crooning a song by her father, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler. "Bryan is Southern, so he knew all sorts of great country songs," says Tyler. "But one time we did a duet of 'What It Takes,' by my dad, which was hysterical."

Tyler confesses she also enjoyed working with and getting to know Speedman, whom she calls "a fantastic co-star."

"I didn't even really know who he was," she says. "I'm the worst. It happens with all of my co-stars. I'm like, 'Who's that?' And then I have to go [on the] Internet and, like, Google them.

"Of all the male actors that I've worked with, he was such an amazing support to me," adds Tyler. "And I needed a lot of support because, firstly, I was a new mom. My son was only a year-and-a-half old, and this was really my first movie back. It was physically, emotionally and in every way draining for me."

Tyler's plans for the summer? "I'm going to wait and go see ['The Strangers'] with my sister, Mia, in [a] movie theater," says Tyler. "I want to see it with an audience. I just can't wait to sit down with my sister, because we both like horror movies."

Dylan McDermott and Shiva Rose Have Irreconcilable Differences

Dylan McDermott has filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years, Shiva Rose. The couple, who separated in March of 2007, have two daughters, Collette, 12, and Charlotte, 2. Custody will be decided at a later date.

The papers, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, cite the usual 'Irreconcilable Differences' as the reason for the split.

What the hell does that mean? Not to be nosy, but I want some details. Did he leave the toilet seat up too many times? Does she chew with her mouh open? Remember - I ask the uncomfortable questions so you don't have to.

Liv Tyler and Husband Royston Langdon Split

Liv Tyler and her husband of five years, rocker Royston Langdon have separated. "Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation," their rep said in a statement.

"They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family's privacy be respected at this time," the rep added.

Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, and Langdon have a son Milo, 3.

Rumors of a split surfaced recently when the Lord of the Rings actress was spotted house hunting in NYC and sources said she had moved out of the couple's townhome. Speculation was fueled further earlier this week when Tyler arrived solo at the Met Costume Institute Gala and was photographed without her wedding ring on. I guess you would call that a jewelry malfunction.
