Rescue Me: Tatum O'Neal Arrested For Crack

Academy Award winning actress Tatum O'Neal was arrested Sunday evening for buying crack cocaine near her home in Manhattan.

O'Neal, who is currently starring in the FX drama Rescue Me, was busted after she was seen handing money to a street dealer. When police searched her they found two bags of drugs - one with crack, one with regular cocaine - and an unused crack pipe.

The Daily News quotes a source as saying the actress initially told police that she "was doing research for a part," but changed her story after the drugs were found. "I've been clean for a long time," she reportedly pleaded as she asked cops to give her a break, the source said. "Today was the first time I was relapsing, but you guys saved me! Can you let me go?"

O'Neal's arrest comes after a public warning she issued to Britney Spears last year, in which she urged the singer to get help and to keep her children out of the media spotlight. O'Neal's previous drug use led to her losing custody of her three children to ex-husband John McEnroe back in 1995.

"I did everything that she doesn't want to do," O'Neal said in her statement regarding Spears. "I did the drug testing ... It was very humbling, but I wanted those kids back."

"Not being able to see my kids is like part of me is missing," she continued. "Part of my soul is missing."

Britney Spears Was Tricked!!! Tricked Ya'll!!!

Did someone jump out of a closet and scare her? Nope! Did someone hand her a jack-in-the-box and instead of a clown, a Frappiccino popped out? Nope! How exactly was Britney "tricked"?

She was tricked into divorce of course. Duh.

According to an article in US Weekly, K'Fed was jealous of his wife's stardom, believing it diminished his own faltering hip hop career, therefore he took advantage of her volatile temper by "setting" up an argument between the two of them back in October of 2006 at a Manhattan hotel. This heated argument apparently started the chain of events that lead them to where they are today-divorced and fighting for custody of their young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Look, neither of these two (Brit & Kev-the kids have way more smarts than their parents do) are working with a full deck, so I can't see Kevin "plotting" anything more complicated than putting a whoppy cushion on Britney's chair while she was out of the room. Who knows though right? Maybe Federline is a genius in disguise. Hold on while I hold my gut from laughing so hard. Ouch that hurts. Crying, laughing so much.....

The article claims that Spears' lawyers are going to use this information to try to refute K-Fed's attempt to portray the 25-year-old star as an incurably debauched bad mother. Hey guys, good luck with that.
