Christina Applegate Needs To Have A Baby Soon

Christina Applegate needs to get on the ball if she plans on having kids, at least those are her doctors orders.

Christina was told by her doctors that if she wants to have kids, she needs to do it in the next couple of years. Why? She tested positive for a gene that increases the chances of ovarian cancer.

Poor Christina, she's had a rough go lately. She told TV Guide magazine, "They (doctors) suggest you kind of get on it before you're a certain age so that they can remove your ovaries.
"That definitely makes a big difference in my timetable.
"Everything has to be a process, though. It'll happen. It's just not gonna happen right now."

We hope that it works out for her and she has no more trouble with cancer. No one deserves the heartache that it brings.

Christina Applegate - Double Mastectomy But No Babies

Actress Christina Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer, and although she went public with the news, she didn't want to. However, there were rumors about certain decisions she was making that just weren't true and she wanted people to know the real story. Star magazine claimed that the 36-year-old was putting off chemotherapy because she wanted to get pregnant....

....but that's not the case. Christina recently appeared on Good Morning America, and spoke with Robin Roberts:

"She wanted to dispel some false reporting that was out there. She wasn’t really ready to go public yet. But there was some false reporting that was out that she was going to undergo chemotherapy, which she is not. There were other false reports saying that she was putting off chemotherapy to start a family, that she wanted to get pregnant. She does want to have a family one day, but that is not the reason she made her choice.”

Christina decided to have a double mastectomy and is, thankfully, cancer free!

MSNBC is reporting that Christina Applegate had a double mastectomy three weeks ago. She was diagnosed with cancer in one of her breasts earlier this month. She decided to have both breasts removed because, "Her mother battled breast cancer, and she tested positive for the BRCA1 gene mutation linked to breast and ovarian cancer."

She plans to have reconstructive surgery, "over the next eight months," and seems to be dealing with the whole thing fairly well, all things considered: "I’m going to have cute boobs 'til I'm 90, so there’s that…I'll have the best boobs in the nursing home. I’ll be the envy of all the ladies around the bridge table."

Applegate has had an amazing career, especially if you consider where she started – as bimbo Kelly Bundy on "Married With Children" way back in 1987 on some new network called Fox. Her film appearances include "Anchorman" and "The Sweetest Thing", and she was the main draw for the sitcoms "Jesse" (42 episodes) and "Samantha Who?" (15 episodes and counting, currently nominated for an Emmy). She also appeared on Broadway in "Sweet Charity." Not bad for someone who began as a pure lust object for a whole bunch of boys (myself included). I'm glad to hear she's cancer free (I'm glad to hear anyone is cancer free, frankly), and that she sounds like she's dealing with what must be a very traumatic medical procedure as well as she can.

One side note: "Applegate’s cancer was detected early through a doctor-ordered MRI. She said she’s starting a program to help women at high risk for breast cancer to meet the costs of an MRI, which is not always covered by insurance." I didn't realize MRIs weren't always covered by health insurance; if that's true, that is a very bad thing.

Christina Applegate isn't going to let cancer get the better of her.

She still wants to have babies. She says, "I'm at that age where, biologically, it calls me a lot, I don't want to wait until I'm in my mid-40s."

She is determined to have a baby and Star magazine reports they have a source who told them that Christina has vowed to put off a punishing course of chemotherapy until after she has succeeded in starting a family, the "Samantha Who?" star's plan is to conceive a child with musician Martyn Lenoble, whom she has dated for several months. As soon as possible after the birth, she will start treatment. "A baby is the most important thing in the world to Christina right now, she doesn't want to expose her body to chemo or radiation until after she gives birth."

I'm wondering how much of that is true, because you know, it is Star magazine.

We wish her well in her recovery and hope all her baby dreams come true for her sooner rather than later, or at least when she is healthy enough to make them come true.

Shiloh Vs Suri: Star Starts Kittenfight

Star has presented us with what appears to be one of the cutest magazine covers ever, but lo and behold, inside waits shocking (SHOCKING) news.

It appears that Shiloh and Suri are being raised quite differently, which is, of course a big "duh" seeing as how they are not related or being raised by the same band of gypsies, but still fairly interesting in a 'they're rich and famous and we can't stop looking' sort of way.

Basically, it breaks down to Shiloh being a hippie and Suri being a diva. Kind of like we thought.
