No, it's not because someone stole their creepy surgical masks. Unfortunately, it's much more serious than that.

For the third consecutive day, Jacko was spotted at a Beverly Hills medical center where he's reportedly going through a intense series of cancer screenings. Rumor has it that he underwent a shave biopsy to assess the threat posed by a few potentially cancerous growths. Sad.

Apparently, MJ and his kids (Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, and Prince Michael Jackson II) will have to wait a whole week to get results and find out of Jacko will need spot radiation therapy.

All joking about his weird mask thing aside, I hope the results come back benign. Get well soon, Michael.

Source | Photo

Lance Armstrong's Racing Return Was a Family Decision

Love him or leave him - and he does have his detractors - Lance Armstrong is coming out of retirement and will ride once again in the Tour de France. But he didn't enter into that decision lightly. He says it was a family decision.

The first person he spoke to was ex-wife Kristin. "Quite frankly, if she had said 'I don't support it,' I wouldn't have done it," says Armstrong. "But Kristin has been an amazing supporter. I need that from her."

Then Armstrong, 37, told Luke, his 8-year-old son. "'Don't tell your sisters,'" he told him. "His sisters tell people everything." But Luke kept the secret. He finaly told the girls, of course, AFTER it was public knowledge.

For Lance, it's all a matter of raising cancer awareness. He wants to "change the face of the disease worldwide, to increase funding, increase education, and erase the stigma of the disease in certain cultures. On the racing side, I'm starting with modest expectations."

Modest expectations never seem to get Lance anywhere, though. He's already won a world-record 7 Tour de Frances and he didn't do it with modest expectations. Course, he did turn away Sheryl Crow, so how good can his judgment really be?

Source

Who Are the Most Generous Stars?

Scott Hamilton's Got Balls.
Former Olympic gold-medallist Scott Hamilton and his wife have announced that they are expecting their second child in January. I wasn't aware that there was a first, but then again, I'm not up on my Ice Capades gossip.

Anyway, good on him. He's clearly made a full recovery from that testicular cancer, which I would have thought would zap the spermies, but, hey, guess not. Three cheers for Scott's balls, then, which, if not made of Olympic gold, must at least contain some brass.
