Babble

Greetings happy readers, I have a little problem and I need some advice. I have two boys ages 5 and 3 and we have a townhome with a common area where my boys play with the neighbors ages 8 (boy) and 6 (girl). Things have been going well (we moved in at the same time as the neighbors about 5 months ago) and the kids have been having fun with each other, but in the last 2 days my 5 year old has been fighting with the other kids and the 8 year old boy has now taken to destroying my son's toys. The squabbles have been the normal kids arguments, and that by itself wouldn't bother me, but the boy broke a plastic bat and our tricycle and has started to call my 5 year old names. So here is my question, do I talk to the boy myself or go directly to the mother? Thanks!
