Los Angeles -- Spanish Speaking Nanny Available!

Ana has worked for us for the past year and a half. She is legally in
this country from El Salvador, speaks only Spanish and understands basic
English. She does not drive. She has never taken a sick day and she is
entirely reliable and honest.  She was with her prior employer (4 children) for SIXTEEN years!
Both of us would like her to find a great job.  Ana would like to make $400/week.
She is open to living in or out.

She has taken care of our 2 kids, the younger one since she was 4 months
old. When the kids sleep, she cleans our house -- she is unable to sit
still. Our house is very clean: it's awesome. When the kids are
awake, she plays with them. She was with just the younger one usually,
as the older one was in school. She was constantly engaging her,
playing with her and is extremely loving.  I've never seen her on her cell phone.

Now, both kids are in school and I'm sad that we can't keep her. Ana
would like to work for a family with a young (new) baby. She lives near
Pico and LaBrea and she took the bus to us in Venice. Please feel free
to contact me at erodg AT bensranch DOT com or call my mobile:
310.717.0662 if you would like to inquire further.

I would really like to find Ana a great family as she has been so good
    to us.

Dear Elizabeth, My Husband and I are searching every possible place, down every avenue to find someone permanent, live-in, long-term, devoted potential Member of our Family.  We have lived in Greenville, DE since last July ( I am from Toronto, my Husband, Santa Monica) and are expecting our 4th Baby.  Our 2 Eldest (6,4) are in full day school, so it really is helping with our 2 year old and ultimately, the NewBorn.  In the time this Gal has been with you, has she picked up any English?  Do you feel she is capable of doing so and moreover, would she understand clearly, any instructions re: the Children/Baby, which would be obviously crucial to their safety and wellbeing?  We have a full-time, live-out Lady who does the heavy cleaning, and she is from Mexico - there are many Hispanics here.  Our search has been dreadfully depressing and left us with no hope.  I am due in 4 weeks, though I feel like any minute.  Every day that passes, is one less to grow familiar, come to trust, feel comfort and happinesss together with a new Person in our Life.  We have a lovely large new home and private living space........would you say her main challenge is English?

    Please write.

    Victoria

    Hi Victoria,

Ana has been here for over 20 years and speaks almost no English.  I would venture that it's not a priority for her.  If neither of you speak Spanish, it would be extremely challenging.  That said, she's good at what she does, loves little babies and it reliable and honest.

It sounds like she might not be a fit for you.  If you want to call her, here's her number (323) 937-6290
