Re: Tell us what you think

Thanks for your comments mattdm. We are implementing blog post "excerpts" with a jump to the full blog posts, as you suggest. it takes a little IT jiggering but we should have it up and running in the next week or so.

Thank you for your comments all ... keep them coming and we will keep you informed of the various improvements we are implementing to both functionality and editorial.

Hi! Here are the official submission guidelines:

If you're interested in writing for Babble, please email ada@babble.com your story or story idea with links to relevant clips. Freelancers are welcome in all sections of the magazine except advice. Because of the volume of email we receive, we aren't able to respond to every submission.

Loving the site so far. Check in regularly to read the updated blogs. Think the blogs could use some more eagle-eyed editing. Usually a missing word here and there in each of them. Not such a big deal, but noticeable.

Love the site and I'm really enjoying the articles so far BUT:

    • The little tab thing you're doing in here and on the user profile page are completely killing things. It slows it way the fuck down and leads to frustration and will lead to user drop-off (like me)
    • Your extended 'tag cloud' on the right - that's killing shit too. Forums should have lightweight and simple pages. I've got a decent computer and your Ajaxy crap is nearly crashing my browser (FF)
I'll stick to the front page until you've made it better ;)

I'm just curious how you selected the three personal bloggers -- did they audition?  Did you just find their blogs and offer them gigs?  They're all great; I'm just wondering.

Hey Markle -- We just reduced the size of the tag cloud so its not as long, hope this helps.

Peter -- We reviewed all the most parenting blogs we could find online and also approached writers that we liked. We will be adding another 3 personal bloggers in the next week or two ... stay tuned !

I would like to let you know that  THANK GOD Greg Allen's Travels with Baby column is over.  Please, he is a horrible, unengaging non-writer.  I was thrilled to find Ayun Halliday writing for you instead because she actually knows how to write.  Many people travel with their children, please continue to feature stories from those who know how to write about it in an interesting way.

    Thanks!

Just found this site, am dazzled

Best site ever.  I'm in love.  Now running late to class because all I want to do is stay here and read.  Luckily my prof allows laptops, so I can browse in class.  Yay!

    Where's the community?

Where's the discussion? Where's the interaction? Do you do like I do, and just read the blogs and articles and then talk them over with spouse/SO/IRL friends?

    Lets get things going here!
