    New fitness trend: Exotic Dance FitnessWhat is Exotic Dance Fitness?  It is the hottest, newest fitness trend for women sweeping America.  Exotic Dance Fitness has been very popular since the late 1990’s.  The classes were mainly taught in LA, Canada, Australia, and the UK.  Pole dancing has been on Oprah, King of Queens, and many popular music videos.  Exotic dance was once frowned upon by the everyday woman, this has since changed.  Now women between the ages of 30-65 are starting to recognize the benefits of exotic and pole dance as a form of fitness.   There are studios dedicated to teaching the everyday woman this form of dance.  The studios usually offer exotic dance and pole dance classes.  These classes incorporate yoga, Pilates, aerobics, and dance.  These classes are so much fun that the women don’t even realize they are working out.  The exotic dance class usually consists of routines using a chair and the floor.  This class typically introduces different dance techniques that help tone and strengthen body muscles.    The women will normally wear clothing they would wear to a gym.  The ladies who are feeling extra sexy in class will wear clear platform heels.     The pole dance class teaches you how to use your own body weight as a way to build and tone muscles.  When women take a pole class, they are normally dressed in shorts.  I think it has something to do with getting in touch with the pole.  When you take a pole dance class, you get a great cardio workout as well as weight training all at the same time.  In a single pole dance class you can burn about 300-400 calories per hour.  These classes offer great benefits.  In these types of classes you can tone your abs, thighs, buttocks, and upper body.  Another benefit is the way a women feels once they have experienced a class.  Many women start to feel sexy again, and it really helps build self-esteem.  I don’t know what it is about a pole, but when a woman masters it, it is so liberating!  The instructors at many of these fitness centers are certified group fitness instructors with dance experience including modern dance, ballet, hip hop, exotic, and belly dance.   Many of these studios don’t just offer classes, but they also provide nutritional guidance, personal training, and private parties.  Private parties seem to be a great hit.  “I recently attend a party and enjoyed myself…although I have to go to the gym everyday even though I may not feel like it…I would rather go to these classes with a big smile on my face twice a week!!!” said Joy, a client of an exotic dance fitness studio.With the easy boredom of the same old step aerobics classes offered by the traditional fitness centers, exotic dance and pole dance fitness offers a much more exciting and intriguing workout.  With the traditional aerobics classes you tend to get used to the same movements and same music.  It becomes redundant.  When you take an exotic dance or pole dance class you can always expect to hear new music, learn new moves, and meet new friends.  Taking an exotic dance fitness class is bound to change your life.  Find a studio near you and experience the unexpected!!!!  These types of classes are now offered at Body Talk Fitness Studio and online at www.bodytalkllc.com.
