    new crawler's rough knees

any suggestions on which lotion or potion is best to keep her knees and elbows soft?

also is it necessary to use a baby lotion as opposed to regular lotion?

I have found that cream works better than lotion because it is much thicker and stays on better.  I have had good luck with any Aveeno products.  Their cream is excellent, hypoallergenic, and recommended by pediatricians.  You could also try Vasoline.

Snazzy Baby  makes knee pads that are neoprene and help a lot, they'll save babies knees and their pants! You can find them at www.mamasandmunchkins.com, not sure where else...

I don't know about the lotion, but I did want to add that legwarmers have been a nice additional padding for our little guy. We have hardwood floors and thick, soft legwarmers seem to keep him comfortable.
