I am pregnant with my first child and due on November 8.  Several friends have recommended not buying a stroller right away, but instead buying a car seat and a universal care seat stroller base.  This seems like a good option for us.  But we're interested in the Chicco Key Fit car seat because it was highly rated by Consumer Reports.  However, I'm having trouble figuring out which stroller base (not travel system) the Chicco can fit with.  Does anyone out there have experience using a Chicco with a car seat stroller adapter?

What we had was named the Kolcraft Universal Car seat Carrier and it worked great with our hand-me-down carseat and looking at a photo of the Chicco you mention, i bet that would fit just fine in it as well. It's a very simple stroller frame and the carseat just sits on top of it and then there is a strap that you put over the carseat to hold it in place (with baby facing you)

It was great to be able to lift my  son from car to stroller without waking him, and this folded up nice and small and light for transport. 

We used the Baby Trend Snap-n-Go for both our kids while they were in their pumpkin seats. It comes with adapters for all the different infant seats. It has all the great features of a stroller (under storage basket, cupholders, etc.) at a very reasonable price. We were extremely happy with this option versus a baby stroller until our babies were sitting up by themselves.
