Three has been hard. The closer he gets to four, the more I start to like him again. The baby stage and up until about 18 months was wonderful. The girl is 15 months old now and I'm really liking the stage she is in. And dreading age 3.

Now teenagers are another story. I don't much like them at all.

Our daughter turns one in a couple of weeks, and I absolutely loved the first year. Sure there were days in those first few months when I was on the brink of disaster, but once we got in the swing of things - wow! Loved it. I'm not dreading the 1 year old phase because they're so captivated by everything but, to be honest, I'm dreading the phase after that. I was a nanny for two toddlers, and the right around 2 years old drove me bonkers. I could barely stand to get away by the end of the day. Maybe with my own kid it will be different (I hope so!) but I'm trying to just start good habits now and hope they'll get us both through the 18-24 old phase. After two, I like them again, the more they get close to three, as someone else said already!

I totally love the one to two age. Learning a new word every day, getting more independent, not old enough to be outright disobedient. They are just so cute. But I agree at the end of the day I am worn out. But that is life. I also love Kindergarten. I guess learning to talk and learning to read are just some of my favorite phases.

My older daughter is 9 right now--I love it! She's got a great sense of humor, understands things on a level that makes for interesting conversations, she can cook quite a few things, and for the most part can pretty much take care of the daily duty type things. My other daughter is only 15 months....okay, she's sooooo cute and funny and sweet, but I'm crazy by the end of the day. Literally, crazy--even my husband who's at work all day is like, "I forget, how long does this phase last?????"

I am the exact same way. I love babies and the preschool phase. Running around saying "Put that down." "Don't hit the doggie" etc. drove me crazy. Also, the middle school time, was another I could do without--the constant skirting the edge to see just how much he could get away with, almost drove me nuts. I love all my children and each age does hold a special place in my heart, but yeah, there were particular times where I really wanted to pull my hair out more than others.
