I knew this before ... but honestly don't have a problem with chicken nuggets as an occasional food item. Of course they are 'mechanically separated' ... but look at it it this way ... they are an effective way to ensure that otherwise unusable parts of the chicken are able to be put to use. Would you prefer those bits and pieces just get wasted? I sure don't. As long as nuggets are part of a balanced, sensible diet, I don't see the problem.

OK....I've been known around these parts for having the stomach of steel and I wanted to hurl.

We were warned that Jamie would drop the f-bomb and to bring the kids in afterwards.

Hopefully, no one's children will need therapy after hearing said f-bomb.

Ew, ew, and ew. And like Kristina, more fuel for the flames of feigning fast-food. Er, or something. Actually, I made my own chicken nuggets recently (out of real food, thank you) and they were surprisingly easy and a big hit.

yes, I would agree that babble is NOT for youngsters! Mine love PBSkids and I think that is why my 6 year old was hanging around the computer, so that she could play after I was done. Just thought that if someone is going to actually _recommend_ that young ones watch it, you should be sure it isn't offensive.

Erin - I get your concern and I would have cringed if my kid had seen that video as well, but Strollerderby and Babble are tailored to parents, not children. There are lots of great places for kids on the 'net: PBSkids.com, readysetlearn.com - but this ain't one of them.

my 6 year old happened to be standing here when I saw this post, so I said "Do you want to watch this video with me". I was a little shocked to hear him say "f---ing nuggets" at the beginning. If you are going to recommend to show something to kids, lets be sure to leave out the expletives. I guess I should have previewed it, but I thought that was what you were doing when you recommended it!

My #1 food goal as a parent is to make sure my son knows where his food comes from. Even now, at not quite 18 months, I explain to him that cow = steak; that the chicken that says "ca-ca-doo" is the same chicken that's on his plate.
