I have a consult next month for a breast reduction and panniculectomy (it's a bit like a tummy tuck). But I plan on more in the future. I don't want to look like a supermodel. But after I get to my goal weight, I don't want to look like a sharpei either.

I used to think it was vanity--until parts of my body started heading south ;) FWIW, I have 2 kids (BF for 2 years) and we're done.

Thanks. I recently had breast lift surgery and by accident I stumbled upon www.thepatientsadvantage.com. I used them when looking for a surgeon.

What I liked the most was that my profile remained anynomyous until I was ready to decide what to do. I received replies from four surgeons that met all the things I was looking for. I liked having that complete control without the sales pressure that some of these places can be known for.

If you are going to go down the cosmetic surgery road...better to be safe than sorry. Check them out.

He gave up a certain lifestyle when I wanted to stop my career and stay home with the kids. Perhaps those kind of comproimises are why we are still going strong after 17 years of marriage. (By the way Jane, Barbara Walters has had dozens of cosmetic surgeries and she continues to be an intelligent, caring person. Also, don't believe everything you see on t.v. - it is costumed and created for harmless entertainment.)

How mortifying. Next time I give birth I'm gonna try to do it immaculate conception style, because I'm pretty sure you can't get all stretchy that way. Also, it's a proven man-pleasing method - thousands of years of lady-body-bashing can't be wrong.

In addition to being vapid, shallow and boring, the women of Real Housewives are desparate looking. I mean, I think it's desparate, not to mention tacky, when a woman of any age gets her t*ts done and shows them off in cleavage-bearing everyday clothes. There's no dignity to it whatsoever. I'm embarrassed for them. Now I'm in Massachusetts where no one has fake t*ts, so maybe it's culture shock for me. And perhaps that's why I could never live on the west coast or Florida or Texas. (No offense intended.)

My goal is to grow old gracefully. Like Barbara Walters.
