The Wonderpets? Wimps. There's just no children's show like "Pee-Wee's Playhouse." And it may be coming back -- at least in movie form. In a recent San Francisco Chronicle article , Paul Reubens said the iconic show that

re: Pee Wee Herman Makes a Comeback? Kids don't see what statement is was making, it was just plain fun and crazy. As an adult, I think it's even more funny with all the satire.

I think this is the 10th time they've tried to bring Paul Reubens back onto something. I saw him about 2 years ago at an event and oh boy, he's looking really, really old (and plump).

Glad to know it's on late-night -- thanks Rachel! I am going to TiVo it right now! la la la la

He's my serious child.

I don't know if it's still on or not, and that's sad. I watched every single episode and I even had Pee-Wee's Playhouse Colorforms, which will go down in history as the best toy ever.

I don't plan to let The Jillian watch any kids' programming except Sesame Street and SpongeBob, and you can be sure PWP will be allowed. I believe it's on DVD now, so hurrah for that!

Actually, David Sedaris would do an admirable job as Pee Wee, at least of Pee Wee doing an impression of Truman Capote (hey, what an idea......!).
