If so you aren't alone. There's a reason kids love Elmo so much and that reason has largely to do with the man behind (inside? underneath?) the little red puppet, Kevin Clash.
It's probably because I grew up on a steady diet of Sesame Street and The Muppet Show. Thanks to the magic of DVD, I can ensure the same for Jillian. There will be no Dora in my house, I can guarantee you that.

If you've never heard him do a radio interview as Elmo when the smart ass DJ's try and get Elmo to discuss less than kid friendly topics, you are missing out.

Secondly, my kid's first word thus far has been "NO!". We're so proud.....

There are a couple of cute interviews with him (and Elmo!) around... one is on a British show ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxW6-_Qx1JA ) and the other is in the middle of "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me", an NPR show ( http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=6731399 -- you need to wait until about 20 minutes into the show).

Thanks for posting about his book!
