When i was a teen i would still crawl into bed with mom and dad on occasion. If i was sick or upset. Even my older brother who was over 6 feet tall did. It wasn't an every day deal, just every once in a while. I don't see anything creepy or wrong with it. I think its sweet. If its not for you then fine. But its not creepy.

I used to sleep w/ my mom up into my teens when my dad was out of town. It's really not a big deal.

I agree with JJ. What better way to find out what your child is up to than to have a little midnight chat? Most children at 16 don't want to walk in on their parents any more than their parents want to be walked in on. Chances are they will knock first.

I dont ever recall sleeping in the same bed as my parents. I do remember when my siblings and I were much, much younger we would grab our sleeping bags, during the summer, and claim a spot on their bedroom floor. But that was only on really hot nights, because they had the only air conditioner in the house.

I never slept in my parent's beds - except on family vacations, when, to save money, we'd have one hotel room, and I'd sleep next to mom, and my brother next to dad. I think I myself would have been uncomfortable sleeping with both of them - and as a teen, I had a highly developed sense of privacy, so I wouldn't have - but I can imagine thinking it would be kind of fun to snuggle up with mom when she was on her own, like a pajama party.

I would do what coolteamblt's sister did - sleep with my mom when my dad was out of town, even at 18 or 20. Definitely never with both of them.

Creepy. I only crawled into bed with my parents a few times as a kid, when I had nightmares. And they usually only let me stay for awhile then moved me back to my own bed. My family values privacy and I don't see why that is so evil these days.

I never wanted to, but my younger sister does it a lot. She just turned 18, and my dad is on the road a lot. As soon as he's gone, she's sleeping on his side the bed with my mom. She's always been a bit of a scaredy-cat, though, so she would like to stay in there all the time! My parents have outlawed her sleeping in there when both parents are home, but on the rare occasion my mom is out of town, you can bet she's in there, too.
