Heh.. the problem with typing something instead of saying it is that sometimes the tone doesn't translate onto the page. I was being silly. Very, very silly. I am a huge fan of elephants. Hopefully neither Tarra nor Bella read and misinterpreted my post.

Actually, animal detective, elephants have the ability to be extremely gentle and are usually nonviolent unless they are scared (as is the case with most herbivores), protecting young (see also: scared), or inebriated (I know at least African elephants have gotten into alcoholic beverages and run wild through villages, and have had to be put down for people's safety.). I'm with the general principle of innocent until proven guilty on this one - and I doubt that the dog could sufficiently scare the elephant or that the elephant would be so attached to it if a situation arose where the elephant felt she needed to defend herself against it.

Hmmm. Dog who frolics with elephant has a spinal injury. Why didn't they tell us how Bella was injured? I bet that Tarra the elephant was standing vigil outside the clinic for three weeks out of GUILT. You heard me Tarra, I'm on to you...
