I have high BP now that I am old. That means a drastic reduction in salt. I am used to it now. In fact I enjoy the actual taste of food tremendously. I was in a hurry the other day and stopped at McD's and the food was sooooo salty I threw it out. I couldn't believe I used to suck that shit down! The salt alone can kill you.

Because I toiled at McD's for well over four years, the SMELL alone is enough to make me start to gag and have hallucinations.

*I* will never, ever willingly go to McD's with my kid. If someone else takes her there, that's fine but you will have to drug me and strap me up Hannibal Lecter-stylee to get me inside one.

Even if I were starving - I still don't think I could stomach it.

Except the apple pies. Those things were the shiznit.

When I'm making the six hour trip to my mother's house, McDonald's is our oasis. Fortunately, those signs that say "NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK IN THE PLAY AREA" aren't well enforced. I usually get the kids some milk and apple slices and then supplement with whatever else is in my diaper bag. I'm not happy about patronizing an establishment that I don't particularly like or trust, but when somebody greener opens up a Playplace I'll start stopping there instead.
