We finally got a prescription. Poor kid was so tired of the routine, she was as eager to be done with them as I was and she sat patiently through daily full head nit checks for 5 days in a row until she came out 100% clean.

We opted to put the stuffed animals in plastic bags for 2 weeks instead of add them to the laundry process (20-30 minutes on high in the dryer is supposed to be good for things you can't wash like pillows, etc.). Poor kid was worried her bears couldn't breathe so she tore holes in all the bags and we had to start all over!

Well, I mean, not great but, you know what I mean. And what a model and conscientious bride you are!

Celina, thanks for the tip on the electric comb! Just Google it, people, and get rid of those nits! (Especially if your kids play with my kids ... you know who you are ...)

So, after my rehearsal dinner, I spent the night, alone, at my mother's house, washing and combing through my thick, nearly-waist-length hair with that little metal comb. It took me about 4 hours - I was up until about 2:30 am when I finally gave it up. I never found a single nit.

But I could hug everyone confidently the next day!

Jeez, I'm itchy just thinking about it. Did you read that there are pesticide resistant lice now? Just what the world needs - Super Lice! Yeurgh!!!

Our playgroup recommendation is: buy the electric comb. It is totally worth it. Plus it goes "zap"!
