oh, sheesh. If she hadn't had the kids there, especially the baby, you would all be jumping on her about how she is a bad mother for leaving them with a babysitter or wherever to promote her career, blah, blah, blah.

They all held the baby at different times. McCain's wife even held him for a while. How doesn't want to hold a cute baby?

As for the spit bath and wiping his eyes, yuck, but I think the kid will live.

My 18 year old brother barfed his brains out in the bathroom at the church before he was an usher in my wedding-he looked traumatized in all of the photos. I think any 18 year old boy freaks out when special public attention is paid to him.

Boy, you dems are really grasping for ways to bitch about this latest blog. I have four little boys and my heart would burst with pride if I saw one of them being so loving with the other one.

As far as being up late on a "school night", how often does your mother accept the nomination for the v.p. of the United States. Get real. Some day, these kids will tell their grandchildren (and they'll have them-you fems will probably have aborted half of your future family according to the replies about Gov. Palin's ethics on this website) all about this night and how they were there when history was made. They may not remember it, but they will know where they were.

Governor Palin has made HISTORY-I would imagine far more than any of you ever will. Listen to yourselves. I mean, come on! While all of you are whining and bitching and being so afraid of the future, why don't you get up off of your rear ends and GO OUT AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Use your powers for good. Start an abortion support group in your neighborhood. Help your fellow man. Put your money where your mouth is. Ms. Palin is, and that, if nothing else, makes her a better person than any of you will probably ever dare to be.

This was the only thing that made that speech remotely tolerable. Too cute! She does have one hell of a photogenic family.

Also was amused by the oldest son, who's going to be deployed to Iraq, looking less than thrilled when Mom talked up how brave he was and how awesome it was that he was headed out to defend his country. I gotta say, the more I see of the Palin family, the more I think this "family values" maven doesn't give a crap about her kids at all.

The father WAS holding Trig for most of the speech. While I personally would not have my 5 month old out with me in a crowded convention hall at that hour, the child was clearly no worse for the wear and was being appropriately cared for by his parent and siblings (the older children were taking care of his as well). So let's keep the parental judging based on limited information to a minimum, shall we??

Yes, it was 8:00 in Denver, but 9:00 in St. Paul, where the RNC is. Which is past some babies bedtimes, but not all.

I always let me sleepy 6 year old care for my special needs newborn at 11pm at night on a school night. How come the father cannot hold the baby? I liked it when she started picking at his eyes with her spit covered hands.
