Now we have a nice little patio area, but like the apartment, we are overrun with squirrels and I would like to plant some basil and other herbs this spring but I also don't want to have to sit out back with my BB gun a pick off the local wildlife as they raid my garden. Hmmmm. Guess I'll have to go flire with the garden center dude and see what he suggests.

From starters, though, or I'd never remember to water them. Next up for us is lettuce and arugula. That's one thing I've always grown no matter where I lived. I have a black thumb, but it's pretty hard to eff up lettuce.
