
Religion has been a hot-topic on Babble these days. Today
Sarah offers up her perspective based on
an article that claims that religion is good for kids, and recently,
on Babble, Erin K. Blakeley discussed choosing a religion for her son.

and her husband's struggles with religion have largely mirrored my own.
Since the birth of our eldest daughter four years ago, my husband (a
Buddhist) and I (a non-practicing, baptized Catholic) have wrestled
with how to bring a spiritual element into our daughters' lives.
Right
now we are testing out a community that, so far, feels like the right
choice for our family. Both my husband and I have been very
"anti-organized religion" of any kind, and he has yet to join us for
services on Sunday, but he supports my taking the girls with me. At the
place where we go, you can believe pretty much whatever you want
(athiests most welcome!). The focus is on social justice, peace,
acceptance of others, and ecology and those are the values we feel are
most important.
