The Silicon Valley Moms are looking for input on kids and sports for an upcoming Wall Street Journal article. The author is looking for your thoughts on whether you keep your kids in sports or if you allow them to drop out and if you ever worry about competitive sports burn out. Leave your input in the comments before the Monday July 29th deadline.
I have a couple of perfectionist little kids, you'd think this would make them more competitive but instead it makes them try a lot of things and quit them when they're not 'perfect' at them. I rarely worry about them being too competitive, instead I worry I'm not forcing them to be more competitive. On the other hand after a season of t ball watching a certain father's jugular bulge in a very distasteful display, maybe I should just be happy.
Make sure you give you input over at SVM.
