All right, dads, it's time to take off your shirts. That's right, it's time for a little more man boob action!
You probably already know this but one of the best things to help ease
newborns through the transition of birth into the world as we know it
is to provide some skin-to-skin contact, and doctors and midwives in the UK are now recommending this from new daddies as well as with the mums.
The idea, of course, is to promote stronger bonding of dads with their babies because there is "compelling evidence that demonstrates the strong impact that fathers
have on the health and well-being of mothers and babies, especially as
fathers' involvement increases during pregnancy, at birth and in baby
care".
You know what this means, of course, don't you, dads? More diaper changing. Just thought I ought to warn you.
