I've mentioned the Nick Jr. show
Yo Gabba Gabba! before,
and I must admit that I didn't fully get the show at first. But after
checking out an episode from the new season featuring indie-rock
stalwarts
The Shins (premiering today on
Nick Jr.), I think I understand why it's so popular.
This
is clearly a program meant for Nick Jr.'s target age group of 2-5
year-olds. If DJ Lance Rock's hat doesn't grab the little ones
attention, the brightly colored (and Daytime Emmy Award-nominated)
design scheme definitely will. I watched this episode with Thing 2, and
he was completely mesmerized throughout.
