Yep, the season's in full swing now. Thanksgiving's over and the
race to see who can buy the most has begun. Which means we've stopped
thinking about gratitude and can now move right into generosity.
Well, not exactly. After all, teaching kids to be compassionate is about as tough as teaching them to be grateful, isn't it? How can we raise compassionate, generous kids?
Truly, I think that compassion and generosity come from the same places
that gratitude does. After all, if you create an aura of mutual
respect and create also the expectation of certain actions, of a
certain way of thought (while modeling it yourself, of course), then
kids have an uncanny way of pretty much just picking that stuff up.
