lordy, this is a doozy. A woman in Illinois parked at a Wal-Mart to put
some money in a Salvation Army can. Her two-year-old was asleep, so she
left the toddler in the vehicle, locked the car and walked with two of
her kids and a neighbor's child about 30 feet to make the charitable
contribution. When she returned to the car an officer arrested her for child endangerment and obstruction of justice. She goes to court next week.
