• Babble Stuff: Knit Goods For Cool Kids

  Every now and then we get something really cool here at the Stroller Derby Complex for Raising Exceptionally Better Children Than Yours, but I haven't seen something this awesome in a long time. Jesse Walker Knit Goods sent in a hand-made cap that is quite possibly the softest thing I have ever felt in my life. It's like touching a baby's bottom, without all the messy risk.   Read More... • Free Comic Book Day

  I love me some comic books, but they are way too expensive. (Not that this stops me from buying them, mind you.) And if they cost too much for me, they definitely cost too much for the average kid. That's one of the reasons for Free Comic Book Day, which is tomorrow (Saturday, May 3rd). Stores all over the world give away free comics in the hopes of getting more kids interested in funny books.   Read More... • Ground-Breaking Fetal Surgery Saves Baby's Life

  I have to admit, I get a little freaked out when I think about surgery in utero. I mean, babies are tiny enough as it is, and hard enough (I would imagine) to operate on after they've actually been born. But cutting through both mom and baby in order to rearrange things, correct things, wow. It's amazing but also a little...weird? But somehow, thinking that it also saves lives makes a huge difference. And not long ago, a first-of-its-kind surgery was done that did, in fact, save a tiny life. Cool, eh?
