The FDA has issued an immediate recall of Castleberry brand canned chili, hash, stew, and related products made in a Georgia plant due to high threat of botulism contamination. Two people have become gravely ill after consuming the Castleberry Hot Dog Chili product.
Even though the tainted cans originated in Georgia, U.S. officials are warning that this is a nationwide recall and also involves some dog foods.
For more information, see the Castleberry's website, or contact the Food and Drug Administration at 1-800-203-4412 or 1-888-203-8446.
