• No, Seriously: School in Lockdown After 'Ninja' Sighting

  Errrrrr. Embarrassing? A Barnegat, N.J., school shut down part of Wednesday after someone reported seeing a ninja running through the woods behind the school. Fearing for the safety of themselves, the children and anybody appearing to descend from the ruling class of 15th Century feudal Japan, school administrators issued an immediate lockdown of the school and phoned authorities. • Newborn Son Brings Dead Dad Back to Life

  A minutes-old newborn baby saved his own father's life, just by sitting there being cute. No, really! Dad, a Morristown, N.J., police officer had been working in his garden shortly before his very pregnant wife was due, when his legs went cold and his vision blurred. He went into cardiac arrest -- ripped aorta and everything! -- and was rushed to the hospital where doctors did what they could to revive him. • Kids Ticketed for Jaywalking; Parents Irate

  I'm a jaywalker. I'm one of those people who takes their lives in their hands and crosses the street willy-nilly, darting out from between parked cars. Crosswalks? Faugh But I live in a low-traffic area in semi-rural Pennsylvania. If I lived in Teaneck, NJ and I was eleven years old, I might be rethinking that right now.
