This week's big news in music was the revelation that Keith Richards hadn't really snorted his father's ashes with a little cocaine. Like Stefania said in her post about Mr. Richards, I'm kinda bummed that it wasn't true also. I think that would have pretty much cemented his grasp on the title of rock's craziest wild man.
But in other rock news, it was revealed in an interview with Sean Lennon that he remains unfazed by being the recognizable son of the legendary John Lennon. In an interview, the young Lennon allowed that he only was thrown off-guard once. Said Lennon, "“When I was 15, a cabdriver asked me if I was Paul McCartney’s daughter. That really blew my mind."
(I'm sure it did, Sean. I'm sure it did.)
Lastly, music critic Sasha Frere Jones revealed that (unless google is broken,) one of his friends uncovered something that nobody has ever noticed before. Gordon Sumner of The Police has a young son named Joe. The younger Mr. Sumner is also a musician and has started his own band called Fiction Plane.
Fiction Plane is an anagram of "Infant Police." How awesome is that?
