We
have a 15-person passenger van that I've volunteered to the preschool
for my kids' field trips, so I know the kind of chatter 13 four or
five-year-olds can generate in a confined space. I can only imagine
the noise level when you multiply the number of children by 3, and
include mostly older kids, who can longer be convinced that if they
don't keep the noise down, the driver may grow so distracted and
overwhelmed her head might explode.
Still, as sympathetic as I am towards the plight of school bus drivers, I do think this South Carolina woman went too far.
