Babble's C. Fernsebner interviews the executive producer of Baby Rock Records,Valerie Aiello, for this week's 5 minute time-out.
Baby Rock has created fabulous baby lullabies to Nirvana, Radiohead, and other Gen X faves.
When my daughters rock out to my (albeit relatively tame) music in the car, I admit to feeling deep pride. More than silly old Raffi or Barney or other "baby music" engenders. But Nirvana? I haven't tried that. Somehow I have trouble imagining my little angels singing "Smells Like Teen Spirit," but maybe we should give it a try.
As Ms. Aiello notes, perhaps our kids will grow up with a sense of humor when they realize the words to their lullabies were about eating cancer? Lord, I hope so.
