How far would you go to get your child into a good school? Nursery University, Marc Simon and Matthew Makar's documentary about the hyper-competitive admissions process in New York City, follows five families as they go through the cut-throat process of — wait for it — preschool admissions. Watch the drama unfold in this exclusive teaser from the film. And lest you think this only happens in NYC, check out Babble's essay about preschool hysteria in the 'burbs.

Ok I just wanted to know if they are talking about a specific school or not. I just went on the movie site and they were talking about $20,000 a year pre-schools. No way. What is this? Some parents have lost their minds.

I guess this is going to be an upper crust version of those people who put their little girls in pageants. It's hilariously sad or sadly hilarious, but mostly sad.

I am laughing to myself. This is so far from my reality. On the day I took my then-young son to visit a preschool, he calmly and promptly stole one of the children's snacks. Imagine of one of the little ones featured in this film did that--the horror!

TolaniLucia, what about nannies that cost $20,000+ a year? Is it any different?

Crazy days. The Juliana's parents look a little pathetic trying to impress that woman... Is there any other choice in NYC??
