Okay, quick: What's painted on your roof? Don't cheat and look, but sit there and think, is there anything up there? A cute dolphin? A bullseye? A "welcome aliens" sign?
What? There's nothing painted on your roof? Are you sure?
One London couple was unpleasantly surprised when the local paper contacted them to ask if they knew there was a giant phallus painted their roof.
Andy McInnes, owner of the house, replied, "It's an April Fool's joke, right? There's no way there's a 60-foot phallus on top of my house!"
But then he remembered he had three kids.
Turns out 18-year-old Rory, who was spending a year traveling, had painted the Cerne Abbas Giant, a well-known fertility symbol, on his parents' roof one year earlier.
"Oh, you've found it then!" he replied to his father.
The teen wanted to make his parents' house stand out amongst all the boring satellite images on Google Earth, so he painted the figure. It was then spotted, a year later, by a helicopter.
Clare McInnes, Rory's mother, was nonplussed. "When Rory gets home he will be given a scrubbing brush and white spirit and he can go and scrub it off," she said.
"We don't want any more children, so the idea of sleeping under a giant fertility symbol is rather worrying."
